In terms of Darwinism and survival of species. Any fruit that has a seed on the inside would need to be eaten by an animal. The seed would then be excreted out and left to move into the ground. This seed may or may not then grow to become a tree. So if this is true what actually eats Lemons to allow the seeds to be spread in this fashion???

I really want to volunteer in anything involving to help out the oceans. I'm talking about anything from the water, to plants, to animals, and so on. The thing is, I don't know any places around my area (East Bay Area, around San Francisco, CA) that are participating in anything like this. The closest one I know is in Monterey Bay, and that has to be at least 3-4 hours away of driving from where I live.

Does anyone out there know any programs like these that are in need of volunteers? I'd really love to get involved, and by involved, I mean I don't mind putting on some scuba gear and untangling some nets in the ocean. I know that example is probably too far from my reach seeing as I'm not a professional scubadiver, but if I was asked to, I will volunteer to do that.

Anybody have any information? Again, I live in the East Bay Area, which is about an hour away, north-east of San Francisco.

I'm remebering a scary lecture given in high school biology (10 years ago!) about populations and their environment's carrying capacity. The teacher used the example of an expotential breeder, the rabbit, and then did a curve graph on the human population (another expotential breeder). I remember him saying that our population peak, plateau, and crash are slated around 2008-2012. Have I gone loopy? Can anyone please refer me to studies/predictions done by real, bonifide population density scientists? Thanks!

Since everything we buy has a bar code on the packaging it follows that a machine can be programmed with details of the material used to pack the product and could therefore sort the different materials.
