Trees are very important for the mankind. I am a tree lover and want to grow more trees in my areas with the help of others. However water is a difficult commodity to get. I want to grow trees by using lesser water. But most trees are required plenty of water. Hence I want to know the names of the trees which absorb lesser water. I want to know from where I can get them

It seems like everything in global warming, over fishing, burning rain forests, ecological damage, is all related to over population. Without controlling over population explosion, is there any real hope to saving life on this planet? Yet, I hear no real push towards controlling the population growth, especially from the countries where it is growing the fastest. Can you think of any good ways to convince the population to stop growing so fast?

So there's theories that the current Climate Change is natural, caused by more sunlight interacting with current greenhouse gases. If I take that to be true, then should we still do something about it? Is it our responsibility to ensure that the climate stays stable for all the other creatures on Earth that don't have air conditioning?

anyone who calls it 'liberal pseudo science' etc always seem so angry and upset that anyone could believe it. Study after study from all over the world have shown that its not just cyclical or natural any more. My real question is, why do you get so angry about it? Whats so hard to believe about the fact that we are in an advanced industrial society and this could happen?

Whatever the cause of Climate Change is, is it best to alter the planet we live on to suit our needs, or to alter our lifestyles to suit the planet?

Should corporations be more responsible for changing to a greener lifestyle by creating less wasteful technology, making it in less polluting ways and buying carbon credits to offset their emissions?

Or should it fall on the regular citizen to offset all these costs individually out of his/her own pocket?

I mean you know the hard to find ones, like cleaning windows with newspaper, using baking soda in your sneakers to keep the smell out, etc.

I am looking for cleaning and preserving techniques like this. I am sure if we discuss we all will learn something new :)

I was always into warming and the threat that we are to the Earth. I just saw An Inconvinent Truth and it opened my eyes even more to what we are doing to our planet.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can reduce my daily impact and live in harmony with nature?

First, I don't really want to hear the argument FOR humans causing Climate Change, I know those.

I am wondering, if it is not caused by human activity, but we still have this rampant change, is the prognosis still the same?

If it is caused by increased solar activity for instance, and it continues, would we still have to act in order to not have catastrophic failure of the Environment?

Is it enough to say that it's caused by the Sun, and that thus we should not do anything?

Is inaction the best route if it is a Solar problem?

Some people seem to fear the green movement, as though it means a fundamental change in their lives, but is that the case? Must we completely change our lives, or is it just a case of making minor changes to have a major impact?

Does going green have to be an inconvenience?

I rent a small office which I run my business out of. The trouble is that although there is a very large window, only the top part of the window opens. Most days there is very little air flow into the office and it actually makes me or anyone else working there drowsy, presumably from the lack of oxygen?

Are there any plants or devices which I can use to spruce up the atmosphere? or any other suggestions?

I'm thinking everyone should work together to get a ban on new coal power plants worldwide by creating and then publicising a website to build political will for the ban with an online petition to show the level of public support. Think it's a good idea? Can you top it?

With the ever increasing debate on carbon emissions, the rise in fuel duties, vehicle tax, congestion charging and the banding of parking according to the vehicles emissions (in an increasing number of London boroughs)
When is the government going to clamp down and penalise the biggest polluters in London, namely the antiquated London buses and London taxis. Have any figures been released on these and their contribution? They are are chucking it out 24hrs a day, seven days a week..... What price do they pay?? In the years i've commuted into London, I've only seen 1 solitary 'green' (hydrocell, i believe) bus on trial. Time for Ken to put his hands in his pocket and divert some of his CC cash on developing a greener London I think. And that doesn't mean opening up more cycle lanes at the expense of the already harassed motorist. As for Cabbies.. why not legislate a fleet of hybrids??
