My college biology teacher was telling us that most of the asbestos in North America is not dangerous. He said that there are different types of asbestos including green and grey asbestos. I believe he said the green and grey were the most dangerous and are rarely found in buildings in the US. White asbestos which is common in most of the buildings here in the US is not dangerous at all. Perhaps this rumor was just started for asbestos removal companies to make money.

I have a debate at the end of this week in Bio. and wanted input from others. My teacher posed the question "What would the U.S. do if other countries told us to stop cutting down trees?" We aren't sure how to cover that, and any information you have is greatly appreciated :]

This is for a pre-cal project, we just finished a unit on graphing parabolas. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to make a simple parabolic solar oven using minimal materials (cardboard, foil...) Any information is appreciated.

Other people have asked this question and a lot of people have suggested http://solarcooking.org/, which I've already checked out. Other helpful sites would be appreciated. Thanks.
