Does planting trees really increase rainfall over time??

Question

This seems to be a fallacy to me. Do weather patterns have a greater influence on rainfall. I can see desertification progressing as begetation is removed, but does the rainfall decrease also?

planting trees will ensure the next generation of lesser floods and lesser landslides. But rainfall? they will continue to fall as nature would have it but at least not bald mountains and virgin forest can prevent its consequences and can help save lives and properties. By the way, its not just the floods and landslides the tree planting can help but our paper and furniture industry

Certainly. The trees make the atmosphere cool due to their release of oxygen. Which in-turn changes the pressure in the zone and helps for the formation of cyclones or it adds up to the cyclones formed over the ocean and turns to rain when the density of the dew is increased.

But, it wont decrease the rainfall at any cost.

At least, you will fell the effect of shadow under a tree and recognize the importance of trees when you are moving in the hot sunlight.

Growing many trees will cause a dramatic change, because as the trees absorb the water from underwater through their roots, much of the water gets out through their stomata in their leaves when they respire and this will evaporate to produce rain.

What ever the answer is, planting a tree never hurt no one. It does help a little with the air. So why not? Plant as many as you are tearing down when you buy unrecycled products.

Putting tarmac crescents in the desert would have more effect, but you don't see anyone doing that.
