What measures do you take to help the environment?

I try to do as much as I can, and I am always looking for new ways to reduce my own personal impact.

Recycle as much as possible (reduces my trash needs).
Bought a car that gets better gas milage.
Tell stores that I don't need a plastic bag when it isn't neccessary.
Keep the AC and heater at reasonable temps.
Turn off electronic devices when not being used.
Bought a kayak instead of power boat.
Try to walk to stores and shops when possible.
Work in the environmental field to try to reduce impact.

Not as much as I could, maybe not as much as I should, but I still think more than most.

I do make concious decisions about what I buy or don't buy regarding excess packaging, leftover waste, etc. I usually vote for more environmentally concious candidates. I do recycle, and don't litter.

On the down side, I drive a 70's muscle car that gets about 10 miles to the gallon. I also tend to take 1/2 hour long showers that waste alot of water. I do however believe that vehicle registration fees should reflect MPG. If I had to pay alot more for my gas guzzler, I wouldn't complain.

I drive a gas guzzling truck, I eat out of Styrofoam then litter I smoke cigars and chew tobacco and cuss a whole lot. Do any of those count as helping the environment?

I burned my lawn to save gas in the lawnmower and I drive my Hummer really fast so it doesn't run as long.

I try to pick up and recycle things everytime that I can, I also pick up trash so our enviroment would be cleaner.

I recycle and keep my own grass clippings for my garden
