By 2025, the affects will most likely be unreversible. We're not really going to die, I was kidding, but as the ocean levels rise, agriculture and land is going to be destroyed, and as a result, the economy will collapse and the poor will die from starvation.

The destruction of the rainforest cotributes to 1/5 of global warming.

Are the affects or symptoms of global warming local to the area in which the cause is manifest?

I don't think it is, because there is not a lot of industry in the antarctic where there are symptoms and no local causes.

Is there a range of affect?

They are saying that the earth goes into cycles of warming and cooling and that the last mini ice age was 1500 years ago which triggered the dark ages because of crop failures in Europe.

Everything that is dumped in landfills can be processed back into raw material thereby reducing the need for mining new raw materials. It is simple logic that by using the stuff being dumped would reduce this problem by quite a bit. The processing of trash back into raw material is not all that hard to do so why not do it? The value is quite clear don't you think?

I've just been watching a program on UKTV about global warming and global dimming!

And i started thinking why the heck are we fighting among ourselves when in 2025 we would have done to much to the planet to reverse the affects!
Surely we have to stop all wars and start thinking about what we are gonna do!

I would like to someone form a global team from all countries to tackle this rather then 1 country and the rest not give a toss!

What would you like to see happen ?

You know by switching your regular light bulbs to CFL's you'll save energy. Also try buying Electronics with the Energy Star Approved stickers, on things such as Computers, Big screen and small screen Televisions, Stereos and Washers and dryers and Refrigerators. It can save the environment and your money on your energy costs. Why not a Plant a Beautifull Tree in your yard you have always wanted? Did you know Wal-mart and Target sell organic food and Eco-friendly Clothing? they do. There are also cars out there where you can get up to 50 miles per gallon without having to go Hybrid. Just spend some time and look.

Ok, I live in MN, it is 7 degrees outside right now. It sounds like there's a bunch of birds having a festival across the parking lot right now. I'm sorry I don't know what kind of birds they are, but they look like those average little black birds that I thought fly south for the winter. Global warming a cause maybe? It sounds like June outside. No more "dead of winter"? 1-31-07

It's all about getting your money. They have got everyone worried about something they have only studied for 30 years or so. The fact is, the people telling you this stuff will probably come out and say, "oops, sorry, we were wrong" just like they did when they said peanut butter and beef causes cancer when I was a kid. Sorry, the human is no match for earth, everything comes from earth and it will go back to the earth, and earth will recycle the stuff in it's own way.

We're not, fullstop. Yes, we have differences, we can speak, that means nothing, a fish can survive underwater for long periods, birds can fly. Just because we think we are more aware, that means nothing, go into a jungle and we'll see how superior you are. Many animals have better features, fish - living in water, birds flying. Theres no excuse, we are animals, intelligent animals, and dominant, but lots of animals are domiant in their own ways. Theres no excuse. And please don't quote the bible as if it is some factbook, i don't believe and therefore any bible answers will mean nothing to me. We may be dominant at modern world and technology (not nature), but that does NOT mean we are better or superior.
