This is for a science project so I need a valid source. By the question about the size of the unit I mean exactly how many solar cells, how many blades, depth of water, models for all(if possible). I'm not looking for someone to do my science fair project, I just need someone to point me in the right direction!!

I have been using Feline Pine with my kitten. I liked the idea that it was biodegrable and didn't cause the nasty litter dust that is said to cause respiratory problems in cats. The Feline Pine clumps nicely and is easy to scoop, but it really doesn't eliminate the smell. Has anyone found any biodegrable kitty litters that have worked for them? Any kitty litters period that eliminate smell well?

Many people, including Leonardo Dicaprio (in a recent Yahoo Answers question), believe that the scientific community holds no reservations in endorsing a human-induced global warming theory, which predicts an imminent catastrophic demise of most life on earth as we know it. Yet large bodies of scientists disagree:

amylase breaks down corn starch, cellulase breaks down cellulose in grasses. both go to glucose which goes to ethanol. cows, horses, sheep, etc break down cellulose all day every day. They get fat on it. Why is it so difficult to duplicate in a lab?

With an increase in greehouse gasses, holes in the Ozone and so forth, wouldn't it be a wise idea to create half year courses in environmental studies to teach kids at a young age to treat the earth more respectfully? We need to start teaching environmental responsibility to our kids, or the trends leading to climate changes and melting polar ice caps will never change....I don't have kids and I'm not an environmental conservationist freak....I think we need to start formal studies on what drove us to have holes in the Ozone and how to control greenhouse gas effects.

I am looking for compiled data on salinity for an area of Ocean or Sea. It doesn't mater where the area is as long as the data is for the same area.

If you can show me where to get data on salinity for multiple areas that would be OK too.

From what I understand, the days may not be getting hotter, but the nights do not cool off (on average) as much as they have since we began measuring temps. If this is true, then people think global warming will cause hotter days, yet this may not be the case.?.

Is it better for the planet for a family to have one plastic tree that they use untill it breaks or to have a real live christmas tree every year. Is the damage from manufacture and disposal of a plastic tree more or less harmful than to kill one tree a year and then bung it in the compost?
