asexual reproduction takes WAYY less energy than sexual reproduction. think about it... sexual reproduction involves finding a partner, impressing the partner, having sex with the partner, and living with the partner for the rest of your life. while asexual reproduction just requires one parent.

You get variety, both parents alleles are carried over, genereation 2 offspring will have reccesive traits(1/4)
