i'm in yr 9 and i don't know why but i get really, really scared about going into school because i think i'm going to get bullied but i don't normally do and i get scared that i'll have to sit next 2 some1 or work with some1 that doesnt like me and i go really shy. its really annoying because i always get scared how can i become more confident???

I've been home taught since I was little,
And now I have to go back (now i'm sixteen) to sixth form school.

It's scary, because i'm moving house at the same time and won't have any of my friends at the school.
Any advice on how to fit in/make friends/get used to class?

this is my story ok I'm sick i have bad daily headaches and i'm homeschooled over the computer the teachers have my doctor excuses and etc... and the school includes alot of work and the teachers failed me i'm suppose 2 graduate in June08 and now she said i graduate 08/09 school year do that mean i failed or is that how it go?because in June its close to the ending of the year 08/09 what do it mean did i fail? i thought it go 07/08 since i finish high school in June 2008 i'm confused...please help me

I am in the 8th grade, which means I will be in high school next year. My problem is I don't understand math at all, and I don't know if I will be able to do freshmen math next year. I am getting math help twice a week, but no matter how easy someone explains it I still don't know what they are talking about. Why do they allow using calculators for math problems in school tests or homework or class work? Should not teachers make them solve problems by teaching and giving more practice of simple maths problems without use of calculator when children are 9 years old? we were going to go to the nasdaq and ny mercantile exchange....and the dumbass i am i missed the bus. i woke up just as the bus for nyc was leaving from school. I just want everyone to know how i feel like **** right about now....missing the best trip in all of hs over 20 min of sleep...im rele mad and frusrtrated....im still not going to go to school bc it was an all day trip!

Im in 9th grade now and am one of the few who have the option to take chemistry my 10th grade year. The only problem is next year i would have to take bioligy and chemistry at the same time because biology is required my 1th grade year. Should i do it or not? I want to and I think I can handlethe pressure but my mom thinks that it will be to much pressure and silly to be ahead of everyone. I think that i can get into a way better collage, even better than my twin sister.

I hate everything about school. every second of school i just want to kill myself!!! i wake up at 6 in the morning.. i go to school until 3:30, and i'm doing homework and studying until 4 o'clock in the morning.. on a GOOD DAY! i'm up right now doing it as a matter of fact. teachers have no idea what they are saying or diong.. they just go home and grade papers with a key sitting right next to them and are snuggled in bed by like.. 8 while i'm killing myself doing thier crap until 4. that's not fair. i hate school.. i hate school. school sucks. i'm going crazy.

Maybe we wouldn't have so many highschool dropouts if they were required to attend school until they were 18. By then they will be juniors or seniors and see no reason to drop out. True or not so true? Open to all thoughts, ideas, and opinions.
