First of all, if this is the worst mistake you've made this year, you're in good shape.

Second, instead of beating yourself up, why not use this as an opportunity to learn about yourself. Why did you oversleep -- do you need to go to bed earlier? Do you need to get an alarm clock that is obnoxious enough that you can't ignore it?

I'll bet this doesn't happen to you again! Now use your day off to do something good -- help out around home, or do something nice for someone -- you'll feel good about yourself and know that the day wasn't wasted.

Try to relax. We've all made mistakes. There are much worse things than missing this trip. Whenever I'm feeling really down like that, I try to appreciate the things I do have. Imagine those people who went through the Tsunami or 9/11. To them, missing the trip would seem quite trivial. Try to think about good things, and learn a lesson from this ... don't oversleep! Try to have a good day!

i think of you would be superb, except your parents are truly strict. i think of you may desire to easily say the reality; you overslept. If that's something they could get mad it, you may no longer truly do something, you're only human. :) Is there some way you may make up lost time at school? I made up lost time with Saturday faculties or detention. in keeping with probability tell your parents which you will make up the lost time.

In addition to all the good advice above, here's a practical suggestion: buy an alarm clock and set it every night before you go to bed.

Get an alarm clock so that you do not oversleep again.

arrrgghh! i feel so bad for you. I know you're mad right now, but there will be another trip - don't beat your self up about it!
