Can anyone explain to me how a flash drive works with a digital frame? We purchased a Westinghouse digital photo fram 8.0.It says it is flash drive compatable.Would the flash drive bypass the need for a memory card and a memory card reader? We bought this frame for my mother in law and have never used one before. We want to load photos from 4 different familys onto the frame from our computer and then send it to her...lol..so that she can remove all that clutter from her fridg which is TONS of pics of her 14 grand children.
But, the important thing is that all of our pictures are already in the computer.
If it doesn't not bypass, then what should we do...we have bought not extentions for the photo frame yet...the guys at best buy were clueless to help.
I would be very greatful if this could be explained to me. thank you

2. Different way to ask the same question: is the HD format "universal"? Or, are we about to have another "VHS" vs "beta" situation, with the big time loser, the US consumer.

3. What about the new Medium Wave (MW) and SW digital format in Europe? Will the FCC introduce 'our very own' ?

Please no second guessing. Meaningful Wiki (and similar) links welcome.

Well, now that there are Blu-Ray and HDDVDs around, I fear that CDs will be gone soon. I have a lot of Data CD-Rs and I am continuously transfering them to DVD-Rs, But now there is Blu-ray...... and I heard that DVD-Audio will be promoted soon enough.... is this be the end of CD???

I know almost everything is possible which is the reason why I want to know if anyone can answer this. Is there a way that someone from home could send directions to any GPS that may be on the road. I know that mapquest and even yahoo is able to send map directions to mobile phones, so I'm hoping this is possible.

I am trying to figure out if I can record a program on HDD if I am watching another program as some times there are two good programs running simultaneously. also is there a VCR/ HDD/ DVD recorder combo out which has USB port. I know Phillips DVD recorder used to have one but is any of these new types carry those. It is very helpful to connect portable drives.

using an a/v connecting cable. My TV is a Zenith flat screen model Z2olA7R and for some reason it has no OUTPUT jack on the back. So in order to record, I had to put the a/v cable from the VCR OUT jacks into my camera. So, I can record from the TV now, but I can't watch it at the same time because the Cable doesn't work when the VCR is on. Any advice? Why is there no OUT jack on this new tv? Why is the cable unclear unless the VCR is totally off?

Okay so it still works perfectly after a day of letting it dry, and using the blow dryer. However, the screen is all blotchy and it looks like its scratched almost? It also looks like theres drops of water frozen inside of it...
Is this permanent damage or is it just water and will it find its way out?!

I used to own a nice basic Wharfedale HI-FI amplifier that was supposed to have been built for them by Quad.
It was a solid state amp with a bipolar output stage. It had an MM/MC phono stage and was quite simple (it may not have had tone controls) it was black with a gold Wharledale transfer that was in a 'handwriting' style.
I think it was made in the mid to late nineties

I foolishly sold it when I went over to valve amps.....I would like to track down another for a second system...please help!
