Can DMR EH-75 record a program while I am watching some other program?

I am trying to figure out if I can record a program on HDD if I am watching another program as some times there are two good programs running simultaneously. also is there a VCR/ HDD/ DVD recorder combo out which has USB port. I know Phillips DVD recorder used to have one but is any of these new types carry those. It is very helpful to connect portable drives.

The DMR has only one tuner, so you can record only one program.

However, if you have cable and your TV signal goes to both your TV and the DMR, you can use the DMR to record one program and the TV to view another. If you have a set-top box, you can't do that.
