I used to own a nice basic Wharfedale HI-FI amplifier that was supposed to have been built for them by Quad.
It was a solid state amp with a bipolar output stage. It had an MM/MC phono stage and was quite simple (it may not have had tone controls) it was black with a gold Wharledale transfer that was in a 'handwriting' style.
I think it was made in the mid to late nineties

I foolishly sold it when I went over to valve amps.....I would like to track down another for a second system...please help!

If it was an amplifier with a dual-mono output, from about 1993, then I'd guess it was the Award Winning 2050A model.
