I've heard that it's best to clip the lavalier mic high and as close to the subject's neck as you can, and I've also heard that it's best to place it lower on their chest (in the middle of their chest.) What's best?

I'm 6 months pregnant and can't work like I want to. I own a small food business and I want to setup 4 survalence cameras so that I can watch the business from my house. I live about 2 miles away from the business. I need to know what cameras are good and how to set it up so that I can watch from my home tv (or a separate tv). What how wiring work will be involved and what types of wire are needed? Thank you for your responses.

I am trying to make the best choice and I'm not sure what the differences between a stadard black and white copier and a laser copier are. I also would like to know what all a laser all-in-one can do.

I have a DVD recorder/VCR. The brand name is SV2000 model number WV20V6. It says I have commercial skip, but I have no idea how to do it. And we no longer have the book. I tried to look it up, but can't find it. I'm pretty sure not all machines commercial skip the same way. But can you tell me how YOU use it on yours, and I can try that? If you have it that is. Thanks guys. I HATE commercials! lol

I recently switched from Digital to Dish Network. I have my main receiver (TV1) in the master bedroom, TV2 is in my living room. TV2 won't work without TV1 being on, and when I switch channels from TV1, TV2 changes as well. Is there a way to fix this so the person in my living room doesn't have to watch what I'm watching? I've tried to find the answers in their monster sized manual but can't figure it out.

Everytime my housemates and I use the oven it will only stay on for about 5-10 mins at a time. When it goes off, it trips the switch for all the plug sockets in the house. This means that all the lights still work, but anything plugged into a socket goes off such as the tv, lamps, and also the hot water. Can anyone tell me if this is a problem with the cooker itself or if it is a problem with the wires?

I do a paper-round and at one of the houses is some sort of alarm. It isn't a car alarm, it's fixed to the corner of the house. It seems to omit a very high frequency noise whenever I go near it, so it's motion-sensored. It says Omega on it, with the O as the Greek symbol. I can't find it anywhere on the internet, so if anyone could help me out I'd be really grateful.

It's not the usual Omega alarms that you find when you merely type Omega Alarms into Google, so I don't know what it is.

Anybody know what it is?

Again, to clarify, I have NO DESIRE FOR THE EXACT NUMBERS. I merely see that people are making a commotion about it, and I use Digg, so, I'm interested.

Can someone explain to me what it does and why it is the center of this fiasco?

Sorry guys I should have been more clear. Its a dvd player with the 6 speaker outlets. An all-in-one, I guess. You hook the spk wires directly into the back of dvd player. On the dvd display the 2 that work are dimly lit whereas the 4 that dont are bright (in case that means anything to you).
Btw its an AMW P8A5, using a universal remote as it didnt come with its own (second-hand).

I am a penny pincher. I read that you save on electricity (even if just a bit) if you turn off your tv, DVD player, and VCR while you are not using them (ie -- they are all plugged in to the same power strip and I just click it off). Does this harm the TV in anyway but not letting it forever be in "standby" mode during the day? Thanks!
