Hi.
My current computer has a DVI output on it and I am wondering if it is possible to use a DVI-HDMI cable to connect to my 1080p LCD panel.
Once connected I am wanting to be able to play my 1080p content from my computer on the LCD panel in 1080p resolution. Is this possible by using a DVI-HDMI cable? The content off my computer would be unencrypted video.
Thanks!

So my friend wants to buy my second hand ipod and I have no idea what to sell it for because I don't want her to ge the impression that I'm ripping her off. It's a 30GB limited U2 version ipod. It's the one in black and red but with no colour screen or video or photo storage. It can store about 5000 songs. I ordered it from Dubai and I paid around about US$250 for it. So the question is, now it's a year later and what should I sell it for? Half price? 75 % of the original price? 20% of the original price? I have no clue. HELP!

I have my HD cable box hooked up to my Samsung HD TV. I am using Component 1 in and I also have the regular coaxial cable plugged in. When I am viewing tv through component 1, I get sound only through my tv speakers, but when I am viewing it through the coaxial cable, I get sound through my stereo as well. I have the red white audio out cables going from my TV to my stereo system. Can someone tell me why I cannot get the HD picture with sound coming from my stereo? Please help

Okay what I need to be able to do is record my neighbor when she is having her out bursts shouting and yelling at me and throwing stuff at my cars aparently the way I look sets her off. That is a whole different story though I need the audio and the video to work preferably through my computer or some reasonably priced system we don't have a vcr and I want it to record over longer periods of time and to be able to make replay these things to the police when she lies about what she did. The police have gotten somewhat wise to her since they actually asked her what she meant by things the last time and she told the police that the dog was loose if he was on a leash! and that the curb was the street and that was where she was going to put the garbage she also told them that if she couldn't make me move my car from the public road that she would park on the street blocking the drive way so we couldn't get out once i have documentation of her threatining me I will file a restraining order

within the past few days i have been getting nonstop calls from an 888 number. at first it was at 230 in the morning and i answered and it was in spanish, then next it said i had a collect call from an inmate and if i want to accept. i was just thinking how can they be calling this late PLUS i dont know anyone in jail!! it's been really annoying me but i dont know what to do about it. today i actually pressed to accept it to tell them to stop but they just hung up. i thought maybe it was a prank but i redialed the number and it said something about calling plans for inmates and if i want to buy a calling card. i'm kind of scared that maybe it's something that i'm going to get a huge bill for from my cell phone. anyone know what i should do?

I took a speaker out of a dead amp to see if it would still work simply wired to my iPod, which it does meaning the amplifier board was blown/had malfunctioned in some way. I'm wondering if there is some simple way to improve the volume of the speaker via, possibly, an outside power source? I don't need the fancy bass/treble adjustments and such, and I can read circuit diagrams if someone could link me, that would be amazing.

My mother is very sick and wanted a cheaper bill. Comcast is always rasing thier prices, so I did some research and found that Dish Network was cheaper than direct tv(24.99 for 10 months). I got her America's top 100 channels, but then saw that some of the channels she has on comcast aren't availble with Dish.(unless you spend more $) But they are with Direct tv.(MSNBC, Court tv, fx,oxygen 39.99 for 12 months + setup fees) )these happen too be channels she watches. Should I canel and change too direct tv? what do you think? do people really lose reception? with dish.

So what I'm saying is, my DVD player only accepts DVDs from Region 1. However, I want to watch DVDs from another region, 3. Are there any converters or whatsoever out there that could do it? Or do I need to buy a new/region free DVD player?

I bought the Digihome box for my Mum. I didn't have a spare scart lead, and just plugged it into the co-ax cable that came out of the video. When I switched on the electricity a green light came on instead of the red light the instructions said would come on. Nothing happened when I switched on the TV. Do these things normally need to be connected to the TV with a scart as well as the co-ax cable, or should it work with just the co-ax? And do they need to be connected directly to the aerial or is it OK to have them in series with the video. We have a DVD player as well, connected to the TV through the scart, while the video normally goes into the TV through the co-ax socket as the TV has one scart socket. I thought when I switched all the things on, the signal from the set-top box would take over the whole TV just as the DVD player does, and my DVD recorder with integrated Freeview does. The instructions mention nothing about needing a scart lead, or having to tune TV to it. Help?
