Hi.
My current computer has a DVI output on it and I am wondering if it is possible to use a DVI-HDMI cable to connect to my 1080p LCD panel.
Once connected I am wanting to be able to play my 1080p content from my computer on the LCD panel in 1080p resolution. Is this possible by using a DVI-HDMI cable? The content off my computer would be unencrypted video.
Thanks!

Sorry, have phrased this question dreadfully.

Put simply,
Can I use a DVI-HDMI cord to output 1080p content off my PC on to my Full HD LCD TV and have it still displayed in the 1080p resolution?

Thanks.

You can certainly use a DVI to HDMI cable.
Whether you can output 1080p directly from your PC depends on your PC graphics card. (I don't think DVI supports more than 720p, but I could be wrong)

However, even if your PC outputs 720p over DVI, the TV will upscale to 1080p.
So the question is, which device upscales better; the PC or the TV?
