I'm thinking of getting a portable DVD-player. I've already done research on MySimon, and have obtained the following pricing (sans shipping): 7" = $70 (Dynex), 8" = $97 (Mintek), 9" = $140 (Mustek) and 10.2" = $150 (Mintek MDP1020).

So - my question is, for those WHO HAVE a portable DVD-player - what is a good viewing size? I don't want to get a 7" - and then wish I got a bigger screen size... Thanks for your thoughts! :-)

I use both and I think DivX is better because it is fster to burn and if you format it right the quality will match DVD quality if probably better.

What is the actual difference between the disks themselves? Don't they work the same way?

I have a pioneer deck, and I found the tuner I need for it. It's 99 bucks. But i found one really cheap on ebay, and I really want to get that one. I just don't know how it works though with esn numbers and all. Soo, would I be alright with just buying the one on ebay?

At first it played fine, then I turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on. Only a white screen pops up. Shook and blew quite a bit of water out of it. What can I do?

Considering Nuvi 360 or Nuvi 660. The latter has an FM transmitter as well as bigger screen size. Anyone have experience with either of these? What will the FM transmitter give me in the 660? Is it worth the extra $100+?

I have a 2002 Chevy Venture. It has the stock dvd player that has audio video input jacks. Is there such a thing as a tv tuner that can plug in to the audio video jacks to pick up over the air television? I've looked around a little, but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
10 points to anyone that can give me a link to one. If possible, I would like to purchase from a retail store because I'd like to get it as soon as possible. If not, I'll order off the internet.

Radio Shack was selling em in the mid 80s.... and we've all seen Rosie on Jetsons.... but why did they stop working on the technology for good, working, personal, household robot servants. The closest thing we have nowadays is that circular vaccuum that changes directions when it hits a wall

Just found out my house phone has non- rechargeable batteries in! They have been re-charged daily for who knows how long. The haven't leaked or overheated.

Is the claim not to re-charge a marketing con?

( p.s. I AM NOT ADVOCATING RE-CHARGING YOUR NON- RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES )

I know that 1.2V rechargeable batteries can replace 1.5V alkaline batteries in most applications, but they don't work in some electronics, like radios and remote controls. So, why don't they boost the voltage to 1.5V? Thanks.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm just curious.
