I recently moved in Denver,CO and made a deal with Dish Network. When there technician visted for dish installation he asked for the furnance room keys so that he could ground the dish. But my apartment management refused to provide access to the furnance room. I am now in dilemna what to do, he suggested there are many contractors you could find on Yellow Pages and those guys could do the installation. Please tell me what to do?

I want to take my stratocaster style guitar and take out the 2 tone controls, leave the volume control, and replace the strat style selector switch with a gibson 3 way style selector switch. I want to hook up the selector switch and volume control to 3 strat style single coil pickups and I want the neck pickup to be the treble or lead and the bridge pickup to be the rythm and the middle pickup to only work when you select all on. I have my computer hooked up in my living room. I have cable internet. Next week I'll have people staying with me, and they'll be here for two weeks. There's a cable hookup in my bedroom, if I move the computer out of my living room into my bedroom, will I still be able to go online? Is there a way to test this out before I move my desk? Is this something I can do myself or do I need a tech to come over and do it?

I am running a cable tv network, where i have 700 subscribers and i live in a rural area. Some of the people steal our lines and they watch tv for free and because of this we are in big loss, so i am worried about this. My question is how can i encrypt my cable tv signal and control it so that only the ones who are authorised can view the channels. If there are such devices available then what are they and how much do they cost and which companies manufacture such devices and also some help for setting up the whole system and how the whole system will function....

I accidentally sat on my remote, and now all my tv will do is search for channels and then tell me to hook up cable, and press menu. I cant get any other buttons to work. I've tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in, but that's all it will do. I dont have channels hooked up to it, i never have. Just a dvd player. The tv is a Sanyo, probably about 5 yrs old. Can anyone help me with this?

cableguy replaced my cablebox because old one wasnt working correctly with ONdemand, but now when i switch to hd channels it stays in 1 format i asked him if he could make it switch formats like 1080i and 720p and he said he didnt know how to do it and just told me to make the picture strectch and zoom in. the cableguy a year ago made it work, anyone know how to do it?

My husband wants an upconvert DVD player and I want to suprise him for Father's day. I just bought a 1080p mitsubishi 65 in. DLP. I love it and it works great. I have been told there is no reason to buy a upconverting DVD player because my digital TV does it already. I just bought a surround sound system that happened to have a DVD player that upconverts. The sales person told me to leave it "off" because the TV already "upconverts it." What do you think?

I'm working with my church on presenting a DVD to the congregation. The problem we are having is that the DVD we are using is using stereo sound while our sound system only uses mono sound. The DVD is being played through a DVD player, which is connected to a box where multiple inputs can be placed and from there an output for the sound comes off and to the sound system. Any help would be greatly be appreciated.
