That depends on the level of your obssesion. Are you so obssesed that you can do nothing else but play the games and buy them? Or are you more at a level where you play them a few times a week but they aren't so important that you have to be on them constantly and you're not spending all your money on them?

Video games are usually viewed as being bad for you. But they can be good as they can teach you (if they are educational or at least have some educational element to them) or they can get you to think creatively.

I grew up initially with Atari and then with computer games. And after reaching adulthood, Playstation entered my life. Two of my favorite Atari games were my Math Grand Prix cartridge and my sister's Word Zapper cartridge, the former teaching math skills and the latter teaching spelling skills. Yes, I did greatly enjoy non-educational games (Keystone Kappers was great for hand-eye coordination and another of my favorites), but these two helped me in school.

Then on our various computers we had a couple of the Carmen Sandiego games, a game on states and there capitals, and some puzzel games. The first two helped educationally both with geography and history while the puzzle games helped to get me to think about how to solve things. To look for solutions, not just in puzzles but elsewhere.

Finally , with Playstation and some of the games I play on computer now, they have me on occasion writing fan fiction, which is thinking and writing creatively. And in some cases they actually have me looking up real world history to learn more about it and see how it may be different from the game (or how much the game doesn't tell me about)

Well it depends.....If you can get away from the game and dont have to be on it 24/7 and it doesnt take your life away or if you can get away to do other things like homework and jobs then its not entirley a bad thing but if you always have to be on it then you need to make a schedual of when to play and when to do other things!

no! I get hooked too but it will wear off, and then you will go through phases of being hooked. Any one tells you its bad you can say its good for developing concentration and eye hand co ordination skills. good luck
