I have had dollar store brand batteries to last just as long as the duracell and energizer brand. I think that sometimes you can save money and still receive quality products.

I researched on the Internet and stumbled upon a science project with battery life. According to their conclusion, Duracell has 15 hours, and Energizer has 22 hours and 15 minutes, but in first place was an third-party brand called Rayovac, which had 24 hours.

I use both of these and feel they are equal. However, I have to say the battery in my Kyocera 2135 cell phone has been working at full throttle since I got the phone in October 2001. I use my phone daily and do keep it charged all the time which may be why it has lasted. Still, after almost 6 years it keeps going and it isn't an Energizer. I don't know the brand because I don't want to open my "elderly" phone to check. I'm afraid it might stop working. My cell is with Verizon Wireless although I know that has nothing to do with its longevity. The Japanese do make superb electronics, mechanicals and cars. Lynn
