I recently moved in Denver,CO and made a deal with Dish Network. When there technician visted for dish installation he asked for the furnance room keys so that he could ground the dish. But my apartment management refused to provide access to the furnance room. I am now in dilemna what to do, he suggested there are many contractors you could find on Yellow Pages and those guys could do the installation. Please tell me what to do?

Contact Dish Network directly and discuss the problem with them. We tried to deal with a local dealer first, and had a terrible experience. When I called them directly, their phone number is on their web site, they sent another contractor. Call in the daytime, so that you get an english speaking technician if you don't understand a foreign language, which I don't.

Chill out, man! No wonder you think people want to jack with you; you're a hothead paranoid. Whew! Okay, first of all, Dish people are not out to mess with you. They don't need to; they make tons of money and your account is just a grain of sand on the beach to them. They do make mistakes. All people do. If you can drop the 'tude for a few minutes and ask them to explain the charges to you, you might find out you are getting all worked up over nothing. Or they will see that they made a mistake and will correct it. Have you ever heard of taxes?? That's what everyone pays for goods and services so you can get your welfare check each month. So it would be quite easy for a $45 charge to get up to and over $60 in a heartbeat with all the taxes and fees that the government imposes. Also, with satellite service you are always paying for the service in advance. So your first bill would include charges from the day you installed to the end of the month, and then they'd bill you for the upcoming month as well. The HBO trial offer sounds like it may have been a mistake. I have had friends have the same thing happen. All they did was call customer service and ask them to explain what had happened. It was found that an error had been made and was corrected over the phone in short order. And for future reference, it doesn't matter what someone TELLS you want a form means, it is what is printed on the form that controls the entire agreement between you and the other party. Period. If you couldn't be bothered to read it and understand what you were signing, why should anyone feel sorry for you now? Man up and take responsibility for your life. Things happen to you because you let them happen; you are a walking victim. Call Dish and try and be civil with them, and ask them to help you understand the nature of the charges so you can feel confident that you have received the deal you wanted. Good luck.

If you signed up directly with Dish Network and not one of their retailers, then you should call them. Theis CS number is 1-800-333-3474. They are open 24/7.
