I had a Canon EOS Rebel SLR film camera and I saved the lens when I sold the camera body. Now I am thinking of buying a Canon digital camera 300D or similar. Does any one know if the previous model lens will fit the digital cameras? Thanks.

I'm 14 and I'm getting into photography. I really want a DSLR camara but not too pricey. I already have a Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8L lens from my dad's old camera, a Canon EOS 5/A2e/A2. He said that it could fit a digital SLR. Clearly, if I get a new SLR camara, I won't need to buy the new 24-70 mm lens. So, anyone know any good canon camaras that might suit me? Keep in mind that I'm the one who's raising the money for my own camera. Also, it has to be canon, according if I want to use my dad's lens.

Yesterday I tried took a picture of my little sister wearing a pink had and tried to greyscale the image leaving only the pink hat in color. To do this I followed instructions from one web site where I split the image to RGB then darkened everything around the hat to isolate it. After that I brought the hat layer in to the greyscale image. It looked ok but i had a line around the hat. What am I doing wrong? Also is there an easier way? Thanks!

I found my Nikon N50 SLR just last night and wishes to buy a longer lens for it. What I found out is that most lenses now cater toward digital SLRs. Is there a difference?

I forgot all I used to know about cameras, lenses, apetures and stuff over the years. What websites would you recommend for me to read so I can be reaquainted with my Nikon?

What lens would you recommend as well? I'm currently looking at the Quantaray 55-200mm F/4-5.6 Digital Series DC AF Zoom Lens for Nikon and the Quantaray 70-300 mm DI f/4-5.6 Digital Series AF Zoom Lens for Nikon . Will either fit my Nikon N50?

Also, what is the difference between the 55-200mm and the 700-300mm lenses?

Thank you.

My digital camera broke ;_; Well, the power turns on but the lense is not popping out when it's supposed to....my 9 year old brother broke it when it was on the floor in my room. He stepped on it,so I'm guessing the machinery inside jammed so my question is what do i need to fix in order to for the lense to pop out as it's supposed to? I totally wanna do it myself because first,my parents is gonna yell at me for leaving my camera on the floor in the first place, and i'm only 14 so i dun want to use all of my money to fix it just for a dumb camera and i can't even buy a cheap one cuz i only have 4 bucks..lmao

juuuuuust help me i'll totally be grateful if u do...i need it to take new myspace pics....plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?

I want a point-and-shoot camera for Washington D.C. Keep in mind that there might be lots of dark nightime shots, and possibly bright daytime shots.

• Higher than 5 MP (Preferably 6+)
•Lower than 10 MP

•Higher than 3 Optical Zoom (Preferably 4+)
•I don't care about Digital Zoom

•IMAGE STABILIZATION is one of the top priorities!!!

•High Quality Movie/Video Capture
I prefer:
-640 by 480 pixels
-30 fps
-If possible, microphone on the front and/or zooming in or out while taking a video, but this is a low priority

•Good daytime AND nightime shots

•Optical viewfinder doesn't really matter to me much

**ASSUME THAT PRICE IS NOT A FACTOR**

I'm not sure if I want an ultra compact or SLR model, just as long as it's compatible to both platforms.

If that is so, then the IS camera will use 200 ISO when non IS camera will use 800 ISO. The IS camera will produce less noise. So in theory, 10 Mpx IS camera with average noise performance , in the same light conditions, will produce better picture then industry leading low noise 6Mpx non IS camera?

I am looking forward buying a 10+ MP camera, with lots of other functions. After doing a round in searching for cameras, I am confused with Nikon, Sony, Olympus.

But Sony A100W is enticing, and before I buy it would like your comments
