I like canon powershot SD600 and the HP photosmart R927...I am replacing my cheap polaroid IZONE 300 next friday probably. here are some of the likes and dislikes...tell me which one I should choose.

HP-

like:
huge 3 inch screen
fun features like slimming ( I am not fat but am very petite)
it is compact but not too tiny making buttons to my desire
sleek and sexy look
metal chassy

dislikes:
bad in low light( but can deal with it due to adaptive lighting ft.)
not completely tiny
movie button seems small
photo quality "decent"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Canon-
teensy tiny
metal chassy
beautiful layout and buttons
location of zoom switch
23 features (I think)
"excellent" picture quality
color swap feature
lots of personalization features

dislikes:
2.5 in screen, and not 3
buttons seem small but still sexy
seems to break easily

I'm the play photographer for my high school, and tonight is the night for the cast photograph. I've been playing around with my PASM settings, but there doesn't seem to be a time where my camera takes pictures well in the dark auditorium setting. Any pointers? Any suggested settings?

I have just bought a Canon Eos 300 SLR (film). It is second-hand and I have just got it home to find that the view through the viewfinder is blurred, and almost as if the glass is 'smoked', with everything taking on a slightly sepia tone.

Is this normal? If not, what can I do? I am an absolute beginner so have no idea what is normal. I would be devastated if the camera is a dud as I've just got it after saving for months.

Thanks

I will be getting a Canon Rebel XTi and I am trying to keep the cost down which is hard 'cause the camera body costs at least $672. I also need 2 diff. sized lenses. I'm considering purchasing the body and the lenses seperate.

Have you used Tamron brand lenses...does it have the same, better, or worse quality as a similar Canon lens? I'm looking at purchasing the...

-Tamron Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto AF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical Lens
-Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens

How much should I expect to spend on these lenses? Are they descent enough lenses? How do they compare/contrast to similar Canon lenses? What will this lens allow me to do...will the camera be able to focus by itself, or will I need to twist the lens and push and pull it in and out? Would I still have to do that with a Canon lens too? What does autofocus allow me to do

Do any of you work at Best Buy or Circuit City...when's the next Rebel XTi sale with the two lenses? lol.
