...in a pig pen. And I didn't realise it till about 15 minutes later, after it had been mashed into the ground. When I found it again, I brushed the mud off--to my surprise, it still turned on when I pushed the power button. However, when I go to take a picture now, it seems like its going to work--but the shutter inside never clicks, I think, because it like freezes with a black screen and then eventually shows a whited out picture (like its over exposed). I was just wondering if this sounded fixable, if other people had broken their shutters (if you think that that is what this sounds like) how much theirs had cost to have fized, or if anyone miraculously had some quick fix advice.

it works fine with no memory card, but when the memory card is in, the camera turns on for a second, but then the screen goes blank.

the batteries are brand new, and its the same memory card ive always been using.

I'm looking for a camera under $200, and thats above 5 megapixels (6-7, maybe even 8). I'd also like to find one with good battery life, and preferrably one that handles shaking well. I have shaky hands and many of my pictures on my other camera get blurred. It doesn't matter what size and shape, as long as it can fit in my backpack. I'll be taking photos outside, so a camera thats good at that would be nice, but not nessesary. Any suggestions? Thank you. (:

I have a zoom lens that i purchased for my film camera and wondered if it would work on a digital camera. Is there a website or manufacturer website that would provide a cross reference?

I recently purchased a digital camera with 512 internal memory.Whenever I attempt to capture a picture,I am getting the message no card. Please tell me what is the function of internal memory in a digital camera and are memory cards used to drive the internal memory to function.Whenever I connect the camera to my PC the system recognises the camera as a removable disk storage with 0 bytes capacity sice no card is inserted. Why does the system not read the storage capacity of the internal memory.
Anyone please explain the technology.

For example, some cameras show their megapixels to be 6.1 rather than just 6.0. Is it simply that the megapixels are a tenth higher than 6? What difference does it make? Why don't the manufacturer round it to 6? I guess I'm comparing that to sound systems, and wondering if there's an equivalent to a subwoofer involved, bumping it up by that .1
