is 5 mega pixels good?

and what feature should I be looking for if I want a camera that can take good action shots?

I'm looking into buying a Canon A530, does that camera have color accent?

The Olympus E-330 that has 7.5 Megapixels!! Then today online, I saw that Olympus is releasing a new camera with high Megapixels...10 Megapixels, but this new one isn't being released until May or June (Some sites say May, some say June...Who do I believe???) What makes this even more complicated is that I want to take pictures at my college's choir concert this month...and then there's another show on May 3rd.

I don't have a digital camera right now.......

I don't know what to do. Do I buy the one that is available for purchase now...the 7.5 Megapixel one...or get a cheap camera to take pictures of the concert and try and return it after the shows are over in May & get the 10 Megapixel camera???

I'd like to buy a digital camera, but I plan on using it for videos a lot, so it would need to have good video. Most cameras say something like "640 x 480 - 30FPS", but that doesn't necessarily mean it will look perfect at that resolution, right? I want to be able to burn these videos to a DVD (or maybe just watch on a PC) and have them looking very good. I would also like a decent amount of optical zoom and support for at night-time. I don't want to spend more than maybe €300, although the cheaper, the better.

Anyone have any suggestions?

will the 6.0 mp Canon S3 IS print high quality 8x10's despite the fact that the megapixels are lower? is the Olympus with ois and 7.1 mp a better bet for 8x10's? and how does anyone feel in comparison with the Kodak Z612?

somehow, i think my digital camera got broken. idk how it happened, but i went to turn it on this morning, and the screen looks like "broken" glass, but the screen is still intact. i'm wondering if this can at all be fixed, or am i screwed?

I have an Olypums SP 510 UZ camera and when I have it in Auto mode when viewing on the screen whatever I focus the camera on is bright, but when I change it to Manual it's dark and you can't see anything as if the lights are off, It just started doing this, did I mess up a setting? Can anyone help me?

i am looking to buy an SLR-like camera, on ethat is rather inexpensive comparded to the $500+ cameras. i am an amatuer photographer, and would like a camera with high quatliy, and more than just a point and shoot. i will spend $200-$350, on account of being afraid of damaging a camera. i take many outdoors pictures, pictures in motion, picutres inside, etc.

possibly help me deside on the cannon or fujifilm cameras?
possibly refer me to a good camera of either of these brands?

Ok,
I have an EOS 400D Canon Digital SLR. I would like to spend an amount between 70 - 120 Euros (1 euro = 1.3 USD) to buy a decent TRIPOD. The tripod will be mainly used for night-time shooting and star shooting. I want something good, portable (I dont' want to feel that im carrying a dumbell) and sturdy (that doesn't cause bluriness). Basically I want the best bang for my buck. Since there are at least 50 manufacterers can you please recommend me brand names AND product names.

My lenses are not heavy. just 18-55 Lens, and then I will be buying 70-200mm canon lens with IS. So at least 1 KG is the weight of my whole equpiment.

Please do not only give me a brand name. Give me the product number as well.

I want only people specialized with this subject to answer me.
