I would take a Kodak over a HP
but

The camera you should take a serious look at is the
Canon A550.....

You'll love this one

Hi look for a camera that is 6mp or above, with a good OPTICAL zoom, dont be fooled by a digital zoom this the same as cropping which you can do on most cameras or on your pc.
do you wish a compact camera or a larger SLR,
a compact will fit in a pocket or a handbag easily, casio do some good models.
an SLR will normally have 10*optical zoom or above, most compacts have 3*optical zoom.
the best cameras i have found are Nikon, Fuji, Konika Minolta, Panasonic and canon, but expensive.
both hp & kodak cameras are good, but you should go to a store where you can hold a camera and see what spec it has,
also get a review on a camera before buying, search the web reviews read the good and the bad.
hope this helps.......

I seriously would not get either. They are the worst camera compaines in the industry by far. I would get a Canon, Nikon, Sony, Casio over those cameras. But if it HAS to be thsoe two cameras the Kodak is better than HP but not by much.

None of the above.

I strongly recommend that you don't buy a camera from a brand that's not on this list:

Canon
Panasonic
Fuji
Olympus
Pentax
Nikon
Sony

Of course you could make a point for Hasselblad, Mamiya or Leica, but if you're considering one of those you most probably won't be asking about them here.

Take care!

None.,I would go for a Canon or a Nikon brand specially the SLR type which would allow you to change the lens from a wide angle to telephoto lens.

Go with the kodak. I paid £300 for mine with the print/docking station. Well worth it.

I have owned two digital kodak krap kameras and they both broke a few weeks after I bought them. Also kodak's after sales 'service' is appalling. Buyer beware!
