somehow, i think my digital camera got broken. idk how it happened, but i went to turn it on this morning, and the screen looks like "broken" glass, but the screen is still intact. i'm wondering if this can at all be fixed, or am i screwed?

Just so you know, it DOESN'T cost $150.00 just to look at it. If you take it to an authorized repair center, they may charge to inspect it, but most likely it will be around 20 bucks or maybe a little more. I'm not sure exactly what is broken, whether you mean the LCD is broken, or the glass covering the LCD is broken and you can still see the images you're looking at. What I would suggest is taking it to an authorized repair center near you. You can find one at this website:

Have them take a look at it OVER THE COUNTER and see what the cost "might" be. This won't be an exact cost, but it will give you an idea for the repair. If you don't have a repair center near you, then you can contact Nikon at (800) 645-6678, describe the problem to them and then see how much it will cost, they generally have a flat rate of minor, standard and major.

I'm not sure if this would be covered under the warranty, since it sounds like impact or pressure and that automatically voids the warranty. If it is still under the 1 year manufacture warranty, you can ask them if it is covered or not. If I had to guess on costs, I would probably put that around $85-130. I hope that helps!

You're screwed. You need to get a new one. Go with a good brand- Kodak or Polaroid.
