I just upgraded to the pro level in Flickr. It's "only" about $2.00 a month and I think it's worth it. They will archive and display your photos full-sized and I think that alone is worth the cost - if you are going to use Flickr at all. I started putting photos there so I could send friends or "askers" there to see some certain point I was trying to make, but I felt a bit compromised by the limit of a 1024 pixel width. No more. :-)

I am not being paid to say this, either. (haha) They take PayPal, so it's easy. I found that all of my previous photos were still available in the full size and it was a seamless transtion for me. As soon as I paid with PayPal, all of the pro features were in place, including full-sized images. I've only been using Flickr for a week or so, so this might not be the case for long-term users.

I usually get more answers that the Nikon is better but I read this review and was a little skeptical. Read it and tell me what you think. It also showed a couple of sample pictures too.

I've been looking into getting two cameras, one for crisp and detailed photos and one for smooth photos. For smooth photos, I was looking at the Pentacon Six TL (though I don't like 6x6 photos much). I was looking for photo quality such as http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/2808/clear02nk0.png and http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/8051/clear01as9.png that have a smooth, casual feel. For crisp photos, such as http://flickr.com/photos/samlara/401259658 and http://flickr.com/photos/kadiwow/383220500 I was looking at the Nikon D40. Nobody I know has either cameras, so I'd like to know if they are any good or if you know of any good cameras for either smooth or crisp photos. Thank you =]!

I would like to know...what are the best camera brands for close-up (zoom-in) shots for things like bugs, flowers, and jewelry? I'm looking for something in the $250.00 and under price range that can get VERY clear close up shots.

Thanks!

I dropped my Sony cyber shot 6.0mp 3xdz and the lenses will come out and in but it will not twist and focus itself. The warranty doesn't cover droppage, anyone know how I can safely and manually focus it? I tried twisting it but it won't budge. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,.

Not just any repair shop deals with HP. The only thing wrong with it (I believe) is that the on/off switch no longer switches. The camera won't come on t all. I've tried several local reapir shops and no one will/can fix it. I figure there HAS to be a way to rig it to work, whether it's super glue or a toothpick, I don't care as long as it works. If anyone knows how to fix it or where I can ship it PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

I was going to get a Nikon D70s body, and a few different cheaper lens's until I get the feel for the different focal range and aperture. I was wondering if I can get regular 'ol nikkor automatic focus lenses and put them on the D70s, or do I have to get a digital lens for decent pic?

I'm looking at a:

Nikon 24-70 3.5 5.6 Ix Lens F/nik Proni
Condition E

Will this lens work for the camera?

Any other thoughts?

(PS, yes, I know not to go cheap with lens's but until I know what I really want to shoot, i'm thinking of going to the cheaper route.)

Thanks
