Quality means a lot to me since I am a Software Quality Engineer. I focus on quality to make the user experience is great. The less problems a user encounters the happier they will be. Quality can also be how simple and intuitive the user interface is. This mean the ease of changing a setting such as turning the flash on and off on a camera. Quality is also about how well the product is put together. Do you want a button or lens to fall off on a camera after a year? You want the build quality to be good so the camera lasts many years.
If something is well made, you will want to use it instead of leaving it inside a closet somewhere.

Every likes cameras that produce quality of pictures. No one want to buy the cameras that produce bad pictures if they paid the same price as the other.
I can not read your mind, and I don't know you ask this question.
Actually, not all photographer focus on quality of the pictures. Sport/journalist focus on how fast the cameras/lenses can take pictures. They do not 100% focus on quality like the other photographers.

For me, quality means that the camera and lenses work the way they are supposed to the first time and every time! While it's possible to make great pictures with a lower quality camera, I use my camera to make my living, so it has to perform every time I take it out of the backpack.
Of course, you should never drop a camera, but let's face it...it happens from time to time. I need a camera that's tough enough to withstand a few dings and still work flawlessly.
I'm not sure if this answered your question. But this is what quality means to me.

Different cameras will produce a large range of quality pictures. When dealing with disposable cameras, there are many that are better than others. I use a site I found to help me determine which cameras have the best quality. Check it out:

In a general sense digital cameras are of high quality. I guess that's what you want to know. After all this is a camera site.

If we focus on cheap, it breaks and we have to buy it again. And again. Ultimately, quality is less expensive than cheap.
