I just upgraded to the pro level in Flickr. It's "only" about $2.00 a month and I think it's worth it. They will archive and display your photos full-sized and I think that alone is worth the cost - if you are going to use Flickr at all. I started putting photos there so I could send friends or "askers" there to see some certain point I was trying to make, but I felt a bit compromised by the limit of a 1024 pixel width. No more. :-)

I am not being paid to say this, either. (haha) They take PayPal, so it's easy. I found that all of my previous photos were still available in the full size and it was a seamless transtion for me. As soon as I paid with PayPal, all of the pro features were in place, including full-sized images. I've only been using Flickr for a week or so, so this might not be the case for long-term users.

Koko - it's easier than using an FTP site and other people can download my full file, if I have made it public or if I have given them a link to a private photo. This lets me avoid having to give out FTP passwords and addresses. This is a rare problem, but it has happened in the past. You can NOT use Flickr photos on an auction site, though, which I wish you could.

And, obviously this isn't really a question. It's kind of my way of letting people know that they can go SEE what a 10 MP image really looks like in case they only viewed it at 1024 x 683 on Flickr before I upgraded.

It is a minimal charge to get a "pro" account using Flickr.com
The thing i like about it is you can post as many photos as you like in a Pro account, not he limit of 200 that is in the free account. You can only place your a photo in 10 groups using the free account where you can place it in 60 using the Pro account.
Placing your photos in sets also is good for your family to check out your work if they live away from you.
It is a great site, I recommend it to anyone who has a camera.
Also storing all your photos on your computor takes up to much room and they should be burnt onto cds and placed in Flickr and then deleted off you pc.

I had been religiously using Photo.net. but I've recently been touring Flickr more and more. Quite a community there also. Hope the hosting works out for you. I'm gonna go the route of my own domain (the name I already own). It might be a bit more expensive but what the heck. No restrictions on size of images and a bit more control.( and more work)
Hope it works out for you.
