jduck1979 is correct. Fugi does make some fine cameras. I suggest the Fugi FinePix A500, or the A600. Both around $100, maybe the A500 a bit less.
The Fugi A500 is a 5 megapixel camera, should get around 400 shots with the batteries it comes with. You'll have no problem installing new rechargables. If you don't enlarge photos more than 5X7 you should get excellent results.
I bought my daughter for Christmas the Fugi FinePix S5200.She loves it, but that's a bit more money in that I paid $238-
So even if you spend say $100 for the A500, don't forget a memory card has to be bought+ you should buy an inexpensive battery charger. Whatever camera you buy use your lcd screen
sparingly, for it will drain battery quicker. Use the viewfinder a lot more.

The Fuji Finepix A-series cameras are excellant...... the A500 + A700 being rated best buys @ Steves-Digicams.com
here's the reviews:

You shouldn't be too bothered about needing one that uses a charged battery rather than "one you put in", as rechargeable versions of standard AA batteries are available to stick in, and are a much safer bet... basically because after a few years rechargeable batteries deteriorate to a point where they can no longer be recharged....... with a charged battery designed for a particular design of camera, you're kinda exposing yourself to being left up a certain creek without a paddle if those batteries are discontinued....... and also if the charged versions of the regular AA batteries run out, and you forget to bring the spare set, you can pick up a set of disposables to keep you going virtually anywhere in the world.
The other advantage of high capacity rechargeable AA batteries is they can hold a hell of alot more charge than manufacturer's recharagables designed for a particular camera. The ones designed for a particular design of camera generally only have a capacity of around 700 - 900mAh....... the high capacity rechargeable AA batteries are available in capacities of up to 2800mAh..... which means you can take ALOT more pictures with them than the others.

I'm not sure what price range you're looking for but..
You can check out the Canon PowerShot SD600, which sells for $200.00 at CircuitCity. It's 6mp, uses a lithium battery pack and has an external battery charger.
Great quality photos aswell, for the price. Check out the Amazon link for customer photos. I've also included a review from cnet.com.

Basically, any camera with 5mp and above is decent.
