I downloaded the FLV, now the only problem is getting the videos to work in them. And the website says to convert the video into a FLV....

Is Linux like Windows? Is it free? can I run all my favorite games with it? I use Windows Word and Internet Explorer, are there replacements for these programs with linux? I love Counter Strike Source and Warcraft 3, Can i continue to play these with linux, if not are there games that i can play? Is Linux easy to get used to for a full fledged windows user? I like to make movies with Windows Movie Maker, is there another program like it that i can use Linux.

Please answer these and Provide other info about Linux that You think might be useful

A customer wants to install their old copy of Microsoft Office 2000 on a brand new Windows Vista laptop. Has anybody tried this? Is anybody running Office 2000 on a Vista machine?

my toolbar on the bottom of my screen has a blinky icon about some malware thing that puts a text bubble up every 2 minutes and if you even right click it to get a close option it opens a IE page to some malware protection page for sale. i dont want it and i want the blinky one to GO AWAY. it also has a tool bar i cant shut off on my IE. please help me!!!

A program called "GrooveMonitor.exe" is running in the background. It is NOT malicious as far as I can tell, but it adds options for file sync to my right click, which I just really don't need. I want the CPU usage freed up, but the prog is not on my Add/Remove list ; how to I uninstall?

Hi, i wanted to know if there is a software that allows me to record from the pc.

I want to record a serious of steps that i did on the pc (like how to use videostudio 6) on to a DVD that i can give to my friend so that he can watch the DVD that i know what to do.

Is there a software that records everything that is on the PC screen?

Like for example how a DVD recorder works by recording what is on the screen, is there a software that does this for the PC? This software would need to also record sounds so that while i use the mouse to show him i can also speak using a microphone telling him exactly what i am doing. I already have a burning software and a DVD/RW to create the DVD but just need the software to record from the PC.

Please could you help me as he lives in the USA and wants me to help him out, but i live in the UK and it would be much easier if i send him a DVD to show him exactly what to do.

I bought a new Imac a few weeks ago and I did the transfer. Every thing transferred really well except I didn't get any of my I photo stuff come across. I think maybe it is because I use Kodak easy sahre with my new camera as all the photos on my Kodak easy share folder came across. Could some one please tell me how to get my I photo folder across. I will need it step by step as I am not a computer expert. Cheers Guys

Alright so I was searching a game.

i found the game on the internet and it was saved as a .torrent

so i pulled up wikipedia and it told me to download bittorrent.

i ran the torrent and extracted it but it gave me two files


a .mdf and a .mds

what do i do with these and how do i actually play my game!?

I want it to publish in the center of the page and to be about 795 wide. How do I do this? I can only figure out how to change the "View" setting but I don't think that'll be any help when I actually want to publish it.

I just installed Microsoft Office 2002 (ya, the very old version) and activated it via internet. Can I, for example, install it to my brother's computer and have it activated (and thus usable) too?

It's 2002 version, which doesn't have the 'limit to 3 computers' stuff like 2003. But I'm not too sure...
