Software - August 2007

I want to create a wedding invitation, and have a template that I found on the internet (not a Word template). What I want to do is create a form where I input the names of the people and it will automatically put the name in the right place on the template.

Does anyone know what I mean? I have learned to do this before so I know it exists.

Crap, I can't uninstall the program, It keeps asking for a password but I don't recall ever inputting one.

I am trying to use a template and on photoshop edit the text to my own info. Is there a way to do this? I want the background the same and to be able to type information in. Thanks

We only have dial-up acess to internet.No cable or highspeed lines available here and Apple Quick Time sounds like something I can't use. I'm a novice on computer so this may sound silly to some but I'm going to ask anyway.

I have seen programs that allow you to have a Java powered desktop. I know this will eat up RAM but i have 2 gigs and windows XP so I don't think this will be an issue. So I need a program that is going to let me put a Java thing as my background.

Ok so i just bought Re4 for the PC today and when i got it installed it said that the application has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found. And it said that i should reinstall it which i did and it says the same thing again! I tried doing it bu running on adminstratior but it still says the same thing. is because i have windows vista?

I currently have a macbook with tiger osx and wanted to install parallels desktop. I would have to pay for that software and buy windows xp since i do not have an installation cd. That would be around 200$ plus 80$

How much would purchasing the leopard version be and installing that into my mac??

Should i wait till leopard comes out or should I go ahead and get parallels?

I got my pc in Dec (dual core 1gig) and at that time purchased the vista upgrade, but it wasen't released yet. When released got the vista home premium in the mail, and now am wondering if it will be worth losing some programs that dont recognize vista yet, and how much slower will my pc be? Help!

I recently upgraded from XP to Vista, and now I can't find my other documents.....pictures, docs, etc. I know there is a way to get all of the documents back, because I managed to get some of my pictures back, but not everything. I'm about to use this font called "Bank Gothic" on my resume but before I go ahead and use it, I'm wondering if everyone has this font because if they don't, I worry that MY NAME will show up as those weird characters if I put it in this Bank Gothic font. So I guess what I'm asking is--because that wasn't so clearly put--do YOU have the Bank Gothic font on your MS Word?
