I want to create a wedding invitation, and have a template that I found on the internet (not a Word template). What I want to do is create a form where I input the names of the people and it will automatically put the name in the right place on the template.

Does anyone know what I mean? I have learned to do this before so I know it exists.

You probably used the mailmerge wizard which during the process will pop up a form for you to input all the names. The merge then processes all those into your merge document (the invitation) and will print them all.

Mailmerge is too long of a process with too many options to describe here. Go to help in word and read about mailmerge.

Open a new word document.

Click on "View", "Toolbars", then "Forms"

Type up your document and format it the way you like (per the template you found), adjusting margins and fonts as necessary.

Wherever you want to have a field that you can enter names, etc., click on the "ab" option in the forms toolbar.

You will have to highlight these gray areas and format the text in these as well.

When you are finished with your document, click the little lock (protect form) on the form toolbar.

Then save your document.

Hope this helps!
