I bought a new Imac a few weeks ago and I did the transfer. Every thing transferred really well except I didn't get any of my I photo stuff come across. I think maybe it is because I use Kodak easy sahre with my new camera as all the photos on my Kodak easy share folder came across. Could some one please tell me how to get my I photo folder across. I will need it step by step as I am not a computer expert. Cheers Guys

On the old Mac, click on "Go" and then choose "Home". In the window that opens, look on the right side for "Pictures". In that is your "iPhoto Library".

Have you already used iPhoto on the new Mac?
If not: move the iPhoto Library to the Pictures folder of the new Mac. After you move it to the new Mac, you could have some problems using it since it was "owned" by the user account of the old Mac. If that is the case, try repairing permissions in Disk Utility. If that fails to get it to work properly with iPhoto, you'll need someone who is a true UNIX geek to change the permissions of the iPhoto Library and all of its contents.

If you have already used iPhoto on the new Mac, it will complain quite a lot after it gets a new library that doesn't match the old library. To resolve that, quit iPhoto, go to Users > yourusername> Library >Preferences and drag com.apple.iphoto.plist out to the desktop. Launch iPhoto and it will be at stage one again.

Back up the photos to a external drive or zip drive the load the zip to your new mac and apply.
