Software - August 2007

I have purchased a new XP software and want to delete the old XP from my computer. How do you get rid of all the old XP? Please explain so a dumbie like me can under stand.

My Mac system recently updated itself and now when I connect my digital camera, it won't show up on the desktop. It worked fine yesterday, and the only change was the new software that came from Apple, which the computer initiated itself.

Iphoto does open when I plug the camera in, and it does recognize the camera, but if I hit download, Iphoto just freezes.

Usually to copy photos to the computer, I would plug the camera in, double click on the camera icon that pops up, and just drag the photos to the folder where I wanted them, but now the icon doesn't appear.

PCs have that system restore function, but I don't know how to do that on a Mac.

Any suggestions?

I would like in excel to set up a formula so that when I enter a number in one column, it adds to the number I enter the number entered in a different column. However, on each new row there will be a new numbered entered and a new numbered that needs to be added to it. So when I enter a number in C4, I would like for it to add to it the value of Q4. When I enter a number in C15, I want it to add the value from Q15.

Built new computer loaded all the software and OS to machine working great windows xp pro. I installed a modem loaded drivers off disk that came with there was a free spyware option on the disk figured hay why not give it a try. WRONG restart computer only to find its stuck in a loop there is an error message and then it goes into reboot and will continue to do so over and over system will not respond. What do I do now?

I'm trying to install linux on an old cyrix 6-86 based pc (BIOS, is set to cdfirst boot device and it does boot from an xp cd)
I downloaded and burnt a copy of debian amd64 netinstall iso image (using xp so I don't know if it downloaded in binary or not) I thought from what I read on the download pages that this should be a bootable cd once finnished. Did I need to burn additional files to the cd to make it bootable. A simple answer appreciated or links to simple linux pages, just because I can assemble the ingredients doesn't make me a cheff

Hello

In cell D1, I have the following formula

=CONCATENATE(G1, A1, " ", B1, " ", C1, G2)

In cell D2, I have the following formula

=CONCATENATE(G1, A2, " ", B2, " ", C2, G2)

I am trying to fill the next 1000 cells in column D with the above forumula.

Essentially, G1 and G2 should never change in the formula, yet the reference to A, B, and C should match what row number it is.

When I highlight, the first two entries listed above and then drag the forumla down the column, the references to G also change to match the row.

How do I keep them fixed to just G1 and G2?
