I have a file that has like 200 pages in the same format
and the bottom right is my name, but i want to change all these names without cutting and pasting, how should i do it!

NOPE!
its not a footer
its 200 seperate wordboxes......
and the words are vertical
not horizontal...
i tried Replace function but it doesnt work...

I hope your name is part of the footer!! If it's part of the footer, click on "VIEW", "HEADER AND FOOTER", and edit the footer. It should update every page in the document.

I'm sorry, I don't know of a way to change individual text boxes. MS Word doesn't have a 'select all text boxes' feature.

I don't think there's a built-in way to do it, but if you want to get a little adventurous, you could try recording the keystrokes as a macro. If you do, remember these rules:

1. In general, only keystrokes and button clicks are recorded. Mouse movements are not.
2. As the last step of the macro, include a movement to the next textbox. (I was unable to find a command that did this, but you might be luckier than me.)

Word does not find text in WordArt.

Word 2003 will replace all occurrences of your name including in text boxes, but alas, not in WordArt.

ok, go to view and click on header and footer. add wat u want like name, date, time or page # .hope helps.
