How can i compress a large file and split it into three parts?

Question

i need to transfer a file in another computer but it is large and could not fit in my flash drive......please help. i need to split it into 3 parts

If you use winzip, it has an option under the "action" menu to split the file to any size you need.

If you just want to split the file into parts of equal size, get HJSplit. It splits the file, then rejoins it. If you want the file compressed, you may end up paying for winrar or winzip. Neither one are free, but both compress files.

Try burning it onto a CD-Rom and see if that has enough size for you, it has the capacity of 700 mb. Otherwise you can use either Winrar or WinZip to compress the file.
