Okay, when I put Windows xp on my the computer(dell) I selected that I wanted it so that when I was on one account and downloaded something, the other accounts would get it, too. How do I undo that? Is it in control panel or something? Because it's really annoying when someone else in the house downloads 50 different internet explorers. Who needs that many?!
I can't just delete them, because he'll just download more, and there's no use in talking to him, so don't give me stuff like that. I just want to know how to undo it. Thank you very very much!

I was using an old document to make a new one with the same format. I want to save the old one so I usually just make changes and click "save as." Well, I did that, but I forgot to change the file name. Is there anyway I can recover the old file?

I have acrobat 7.0 and I know how to do it manually. What I want is an automated way to convert a doc to a pdf. Preferrablly I would want some command line way to do this so I can script the input and output. If there is no command line way perhaps some way to link into a acrobat DLL and convert it via VB6? I tried something called PDF converter but it did not convert the PDF correctly with the format being off. I have to convert over 22,000 docs so I can't check each one so I want to be assured that what I get on the output is exactly what is seen as the word document. Why in the world is there no automated functionality with acrobat, at least that I have been able to search for lol. Please Help! Thanks in advance.

I would like to resize my videos while keeping all other properties more or less constant. its like, i have a video 940x680, so i want to resize it such that it becomes 470x340, and thus reducing the memory size but keeping the audio and everything else constant. any freeware to do this job? every other video converter is converting between formats etc. i just want a simple video resizer. help!

Also, most of the programmes i know takes up so much space when they are saving the video, its very irritating cos it causes my comp to hang and run out of space. its there any explaination? i wanna shrink the video plainly cos i wanna save space, but most of them end up 10 times bigger in memory size!

=IF(A1>40%, "Larger", "Smaller")

I am using this formula for a spreadsheet I am working on. It works brilliantly but how can I have it so the cell says "Exact" when the value is exactly 40%?

I want to get a new PC because mine is getting a bit old and has a few nagging problems.

I really like the XP operating system and have heard mixed reviews about Vista.

My question is, would it be a good idea to buy a brand new PC with XP on it instead of Vista? If everything in the future is going to revolve around Vista more than XP, I guess I'd rather go with Vista (reluctantly).

Thanks!

My Excel session keeps crashing when I try to copy cells using my keyboard (Ctrl +C) and also when I right click a VBA button to edit a subprocedure. I get a "Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." message.
Any ideas as to what settings I should change if any to resolve this issue? How can I tell if my Excel sheet is corrupt?

Thanks

Every time I play a game like Halo, or Prince of Persia, or C&C Generals, I have a problem with the video. Everytime there is a video scene in the game, it always slow down and sort of skips. The sound with it too. But when I'm playing the game, it's normal. The gameplay is smooth and there's no problem.

This problem happened when I recently bought a barebone computer(has only the motherboard and CPU). I put in the hardrives and video card and all that stuff from my old computer.

Here's the specs:
Intel pentium D 3.4 GHZ
1 gb DDR memory
Radeon 9250 video card
2 IDE harddrives 20/40 gb

Help me pleaseee
