You cant, you can get a trial version from Microsoft but you will have to purchase a genuine copy as MS can detect illegal copies

u can get office 97 from torrent sites.. but its illegal..
and office 2007 is out which is really diffrent.. do try it for free from microsoft. download a trail version..
because its time to get familiar with new version not working with old...

Highly unlikely it'll EVER be free but you can pick it up on ebay for $20 or less. Hell, if you really search you can probably find a working system with the installation disks for not much more than that.
