The Clock Speed should be in your BIOS settings.
The first screen you see when you power up your PC, should tell you how to get into the BIOS settings. (Delete key, F2, etc.)
Once there, look for a way to save current settings, then,
flip through the screens to find an option to "Optimize Performance". But, be careful changing other settings, bad things can happen.
Save and exit, and see if your system performance improves. If not, re-load your previous BIOS settings.
BTW, you can't change the processor name, it's hard coded in the CPU.

Don't ask for anything which you can get & loose every thing you have. If you can't upgrade never try to over clock the CPU. I have not given you the way but I know you will get it from some where. Belive me you will loose what CPU you have after over clocking because it will blast due to over heat.

you can do it in your bios, or goto your motherboards vendor site and download an app from there.
this only works on the newest processors, like AMD XP/64 and Intel P4/Core Duo chips..
