If Limewire is not legal then how why is it advertised all over Yahoo and the site itself says nothing about it being not legal? Seems to me if it's not legal, the Goverment does not have far to go to shut it down. There is a whole career and corporate section on the site as well as a press area. I am still looking for the difinitive answer if it is legal to dl ANYTHING from lime wire not just music. It sort of sounds like a head shop-Pot is not legal but you can buy 500 types of pipes to smoke it from the shop. Is this what it means?

What is required to make gif photos viewable? My PC displays jpeg photos without a problem, but for gifs there is always a blank in the frame, I use Irfan viewer, picassa, windows photo viewer etc

Perhaps I need some additional software or a gif to jpeg converter?

All my Microsoft word documents were ok. I had windows millennium installed. Because of an error I formatted hard disk drive C: and installed windows 2000 and then installed microsoft office 97 or 2000. After wards I also installed MCaffee 8.1 antivirus and scanned all my drives. when i opened my word document it asked that word can not start the converter WPFT532. and then asks that microsoft word can`t import the specified format. The feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now.
Wheather I press Yes or No the feature fails to install. And my word document opens with squares and boxes. All the text and graphs becomes boxes which are unreadable.
I again formatted the C: drive and instlled windows XP and microsoft word but results were the same. Please help me as I am losing Precious information and data which is stored in more than 1500 word documents including journals, Thesis, books and statistical and economical data.

when i start my computer , it stops responding after sometime
but when i press windows button on the keyboard the "start " menu appears (even it doesnt respond) . Then i have to turn off the main power and start it again.After 2-3 such attempts it works properly as if their was no such problem,.
(i have got windows XP professinal edition)
what do i do???

Bought a new computer but kids need to be able to do projects and I need to be able to write basic letters, have checked out Microsoft word packages but £80? are there any other packages I could use or a cheaper way of buying.

I have vista, i deleted some vital file i guess accidentally now my explorer doesn't work. As soon as i log on it says explorer has stopped working then a new thing opens and it says explorer is restarting. This problem is killing me! Does anyone know what i can do? If i could re install the program/file that i deleted would it work?, i cant remember what its called tho! If anyone knows what files and programs ensure explorer to function i would appreciate it. thx in advance!

ok i got linux ubuntu live cd and when i insert in the cd-rom it starts it's intorduction of ubuntu and it says "if you want to see the ubuntu demo live this cd in the cd-drive and restart the computer and it shoudl start automaticlly" so I leave in the cd-rom and restart !!! NOTHING happanes it restarts the windows normally.. I even went to cnet..com for reviews and they showed how it worked they did the samy thing and it worked but i have no IDEA what is the problem with mine.

so how can i boot this linux live cd from my computer?? and if u please go to cnet.rewiews and type ubuntu and see the video and tell me what can i do to use the live cd of ubunut??

i reallly need this because i HATE windows offically everytime i reformat my drive some kind of virus gets in the software again and i have to get this linux to free of viruses PLEASE HELP!!!!
