What is required to make gif photos viewable? My PC displays jpeg photos without a problem, but for gifs there is always a blank in the frame, I use Irfan viewer, picassa, windows photo viewer etc

Perhaps I need some additional software or a gif to jpeg converter?

No, usually just associate the gif with a Viewer; It is possible that the gifs you have are transparent, and there may be a setting in the viewer that gets in the way of this setting.

detect a gif report interior the Explorer and superb click on it. pass to Open with/choose for software (the base line) and discover the abode windows image Viewer there. Mark the field interior the left nook asserting continuously use this software for this variety of documents. My wager is that Google Chrome set itself to be the default software for gifs, yet what that has to do with IE I don´t somewhat understand..
