My anti-Virus system found it, but it doesn't give me the option to delete it..when I looked it up online, the Trojan, called Win32 is medium in destruction and I want it off ASAP...I tried Stystem Restore and It won't let me pick any options, even though i'm an admin. PLEASE HELP!

I have reserrected an old computer (4 years ols) by having more memory and XP put on.

The PC previously had AVG on (via dial up) and when connected to Bband I thought it would automatically update. However the version is out of date and not supported. I cannot remove it for some reason although I have done this via control panel (add/remove progs) nor can I download a fresh version as it keeps taking me back to the old registration page with the old number. Anyway it just will not up date. So I put avast on and ran it. This told me I have Win32. I ran PC doctor and this told me something else. What can I believe. How can I clean the machine and be sure it is clean.

Access to internet is limited on this machine but I do have access via another machine. Is there something I can do whilst off line? Can I load something onto a disc maybe, from the one machine and run it on the infected one?

If I buy, say, norton, will that detect and clean and protect in future.

My problems started last night, I turned on the computer to find that I had 4 viruses by that name. I clean my computer of the viruses, then later, I had gotten 2 more. This is when I thought that maybe these viruses were coming from my automatic updates, so I turned them off. Am I right, or could it be something else? I was reading somewhere on the computer, that updates are vital to my computer, that without them, the computer would be more apt to get viruses and other things. Is this also true?

I have purchased a benq scanner. It was working fine so far but I just installed a canon camera in my cabinet Usb Port where it asked me for a an option whether I wish to scan images via my scanner and I clicked yes. Now as I have started my system again I can no longer scan images in the old fashion.

Ok hey, i just had another "Blue screen of death attack (BSoD)" and my friend was bragging how his computer doesnt get viruses , spyware and worms. he has a mac, i have a dell windows xp home. and i am getting mad i want a new computer but... i cant.. so is there a way to heal the BSoD? if not is it true that Macs are hack prof. and do they ever get the BSoD? thanks

I am setting my network router to block alot of bad stuff from entering my house. I run a personal business and about 12 computers are on the network.

Anyway can someone point out or post a link to alot of basic keywords or something.

Im getting bombed by pop ups and being redirected when I visit a website.
As a matter of fact I just got a window pop while trying to type this ..

Use PC Tools Firewall Plus
256 MB nVIDIA Graphics Card
