it seems that my 90 day free trial of the software is corrupt.... but could it be a virus?.... my comp will not let me uninstall it either.. add and remove programs STALLS whenever i select chage or remove!!.. HELP!.. i am also having an unusually long wait when i reboot.. the "Windows screen is delayed and followed by a blank screen for more than usual... wat is the best way to find this hidden bug???.... and how do i uninstall Norton when the uninstall feature keeps stalling??.... i need HELP!!!

I sent a mail to a friend of mine yesterday and his parter foundout about it, she then somehow hacked into my system and forwared that mail to everyone in my mail box this morning. She then phoned and informed me, when I checked it was true. There is no how she could have know my pasword because I rarely use this email and had to try several times to get it right yesterday. How was she able to do it and what can I do to prevent it happening again. This person also tried to add me to thier yahoo chat on my other yahoo address and i declined.
I am really worried, is it possible that she can get into my pc or is only my mail that is affected. Please help

its a grey box that says photogallery, and it starts to install/download or something, and i press cancel, and then it just like stays there, and i have to control-alt-delete it to get rid of the box.

i went to programs, to remove it, and there is nothing to remove. i ran a virus scan and nothing changes.....

what is this, what can be done?

I have 2 companies that have changed the way to access your account information on line. You have to pick out a photo [their choice] & then anwer 5-7 questions. One of the questions is 'what is my paternal grandmother's maiden name' and I have to answer this question to access my account???? I don't know the answer? In addition...now I have to write down the answers on paper & hand them out to all my family members with the account numbers on them for them to be able to access my accounts if I should die. Before they all had two words memorized. My user id & password. Simple. How is this more secure for these banks if everyone has to write all this personal info down to give to family members? These people are so stupid & don't think? Is there that much fraud with these banking systems?? I've never had a problem in 10 years with just a user id & password. Lady at the bank said it's a new law starting January. She doesn't know who made the law...but they are following it????

Oh, ok when I get home I'll try and see what happens with the disk. I know that when I turn it on I can't see anything except a blank screen, so I'm doubting it will work, but I'll try. Thanks so much for the input. I'm sure I'll have a reply in the morning as to what happened.

I was recently told that an email could not be traced as the IP address it was sent from expires 5 days after using it. I've never heard of that. What email server uses disappearing IP addresses? Is this true?

and I assume this is a virus of some sort. There is literally one every 20 seconds or so. Somehow Task Manager has also been disabled.

The problem is that Clamwin doesn't seem to come up with anything.

I purchased it from a guy on Craigslist. The first day I got it home the security alert window kept popping up. After I told him what it was doing..he said "that's odd..but it did have 1 or 2 trojans before." "It was reformatted and should have been empty" he said. This was after I had the laptop in my possession. The ad said no viruses and such and did not say that it had previous viruses or I wouldn't have purchased it. Now it is not showing me anything when I turn it on. It sounds to me like he sold me a faulty laptop that still had virus(es). Did he?

my husband downloaded it, and now his computer keeps taking him to this security page, i have tried to change his home page, but it keeps going back.. it didnt start until we got IE7.. the page keeps wanting him to buy internet protection, but we already have it.
Or any ideas on how to get it to quit going to the securities page..
