I have done all of the scans. AVG, Mcafee, trendmicro, avant, adaware, spybot, and smitfraud.(half-way thru another AVG scan as I type.lol)
What do I do now??? Should i be in safe mode? (I have performed most of the scans in safe mode) Should I turn off system restore? Should i do one scan before the other one?
I have searched the internet and they only mention to perform a scan with a program listed above. Since I am still infected and have performed all of the scans, I am at a loss.
Can someone hold my hand and walk me thru a solution?

Thanks in advance!!!

I recently had the above Mcafee installed. Quite often a dialog box comes up showing :Registry Change Detected:
System Guard - Name: IE Urls
Change - Registry Modified

System Guard Description: Monitor changes to your IE preset urls to prevent spyware or other potentially unwanted programs from changing your browser settings without your permission.

Problem: It keeps coming up and I keep hitting allow.

Does anyone know what this is - is it legit - and if it safe to hit "allow" every time. I'm never sure what the change exactly is.

I don't even know where to start that process anyway (first touched a computer 9mos ago!) I have a HP Compaq with Windows XP which I bought almost a year ago. On my computer, I have Spybot S&D and Avast! Antivirus. Both programs are constantly updated along side Windows Update. I also have Norton Spyware Scan on my Yahoo toolbar as well. Norton Spyware Scan keeps finding Backdoor.Trojan and FakerAlert on my computer. Both Spybot and Avast dont find anything at all. So my question is why is the Trojan and FakerAlert keep coming back to my computer and how is it possible I can remove them FOR GOOD? I'd also like to point out that, I've looked up of how to remove them and I haven't had a straight answer as how to do so.

someone has been hacking my computer. So I deleted all the bad programs he put in to my computer. I found he installed some kind of program related to trojan. possibly program that download trojan files or program that actually change my files to trojan. I deleted that program right away, but there is possiblity that he did something. Do anyone know how to find trojaned files or know kind of program that find trojan and destroy it?
Thanks.

I currently have AVG Antivirus and Spybot antispyware installed, but for some reason neither will update - either automatically or manually. I have also tried something I found called "CyberDefender", but this keeps bringing up an error message "CyberDefender caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL" and then jams. If someone could tell me how to solve these problems I would be most grateful - thank you!
