msn, how can i remove msn live messenger from my pc? and also when click on my user account it says i have an unread e-mail in the msn account but it is empty... help please. i would be very grateful. thanks

I was feeling a bit frisky so looked at a bit of porn.

basically you click on the pic to run the free video and you have to download an active x. (video active x object 2.07 set up). Before u run the softwear u have to agree to the install. I was feeling a little too hot...and just agreed and installed.

I now keep getting a 'systems alert' in my icon display which leads to this website:

I have installed mcafee , windows defender and even windows one care cleaner but its still there. I was informed i had the zlob spyware/trojan on my computer....but antivirus/spyware does nothing to get rid.

Any suggestions?

Hiya,

For the past few days whenever you click onto a website, about 5 different pop-up windows come up. They've advertising casino's etc, and also an official looking one telling you to install something (which I'm not going to do!)

We have both IE and Firefox installed, and at first the latter wasn't affected, but today it's been doing the same thing.

Is this Adware and is there anyway to get rid of it? Preferably without having to install anything. Would System Restore be any help?

i asked a similar question earlier, (thanks for the replies) i turned on windows updates which gave me 60 downloads, security, media xp etc. ive now done a system restore because whenever i use updates something always seems to go wrong with my laptop, this time my wireless internet connection stopped working, after the restore its fine again. all i use the laptop for is email and internet, i use firefox instead of internet explorer and i have avg anti spyware, anti virus and zonealarm firewall. i just need to know if windows update is really important for my laptop because i would rather not use it??

my grand-daughter has always had bullgard full security pack on her computer. About 6 weeks ago a box as a icon appeared on her desktop with the words xset up,exe.We did a full scan and 2 threats appeared on the scan which bullgard could not deal with so we sent a log to them to sort out. After many attempts later we were no better off as these threats kept showing up on the full scan. Last night I uninstalled bullgard and installed avg free antivirus and with her own windows firewall windows defender and norton spyware scan which comes free with btyahoo we did another scan with avg which picked up the above mentioned + a copy avg got rid of the first one and on a second scan we believe we got rid of the second one but the box is still on the desktop. How can we be sure we have got rid of all this. Hope all this makes sense.

okay so i have this virus called Trojan Horse Backdoor.Generic3.ONI, how do i get rid of this virus i have ran AVG but didnt help, it wont let me download stuff from megashares or anysites like that. everytime i goto those URLs it says the URL is banned in saudi wirting, please help me

For example, when I go on Mapquest, this pop-up came up about 4 times in a row (and I had to repeatedly click "Yes") until I would finally see my directions. I have never had this problem with any other internet provider I used and hope, that I can get rid of it somehow as it is very frustrating & annoying!
