I was feeling a bit frisky so looked at a bit of porn.

basically you click on the pic to run the free video and you have to download an active x. (video active x object 2.07 set up). Before u run the softwear u have to agree to the install. I was feeling a little too hot...and just agreed and installed.

I now keep getting a 'systems alert' in my icon display which leads to this website:

http://www.anti-vermins.com/?aff=334

I have installed mcafee , windows defender and even windows one care cleaner but its still there. I was informed i had the zlob spyware/trojan on my computer....but antivirus/spyware does nothing to get rid.

Any suggestions?

You have to turn off system restore and run everything you've got in safe mode, otherwise it will just re-install itself.
You also need better security software; it would have prevented this downloading and installing itself. There's a list on my blog.
And you could remove that live link to the site which installs a virus. Its not needed for your question. You wouldn't want to spread a virus.

The first thing you have to do is turn off system restore as the virus is replicating each time as it's hidden from your anti-virus software.
Go in to safe mode and run your anti-virus at least twice.

You may also find advice on the Macafee or Norton sites on how to edit your machines registry to to stop it popping up each time.

For the time being use firefox as an alternative browser and remember not to download activex programmes unless you are absolutely sure of their source.

Also try AVG anti-spyware, adaware, spybot search and destroy but you colluded in this act of vandalism so youcan look up the required sites.

I had the same problem couple o months ago and all my anti virus program didn't work on that one so what i did was, i downloaded and installed their stupid anti virus and i ran a quick scan it found their virus and it told me where it's at (files and registry keys and all) once i hit clean it told me that i had to buy so i just went in and deleted em myself. what u do is it will tell u the registry keys so u click on the start menu and click on run then type in "regedit" it will open the registry then go to the anti virus program and copy the last string of the key and search for it in the regedit once u find it delete it and do that with the rest of the keys. for the files it will help if u enable "show hidden and system files" now traverse to the folder where the anti virus program tells u the virus is at and delete them files.

Scan the PC with standard antivirus software. If you do not have one, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

You could try downloading some free tools to start with...

Virus Checker
Spyware Remover

Try downloading AVAST and updates.
Use HijackThis
Spybot Seach and Destroy

All available for free and usually do the job. Sometimes you have you have to do a regedit yourself to manually remove the line in your registry. Try these programs first. Reinstalling is the totally last thing you should do.

First is to run an Anti-Virus program like Norton,Mcafee,AVG ANTI-VIRUS etc.................

Second, you want to run an spyware program like Spybot,Hijackthis etc.........

Third after that doesn't work backup all you stuff like docments, music, movies or whatever you have saved on you computer. then after backing up everything, uninstall every single thing and then reinstall every back and then you should be fine, this is only is the top on don't work

I had the same virus on my computer, and it seemed that Norton was the only anti-virus that removed it. We also used WebrootSpysweeper to remove the programs the virus downloaded.
