As above, try Grisoft. Also Microsoft's new Malicious Software Removal Tool is proving to be quite good - http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

A search engine search might come up with more specific info' .

Safe Mode in Windows Me is the same as 98/98SE ... Restart the computer. Just after the POST diagnostics and memory count, start pressing the F8 key like crazy. On the Startup Menu, choose Safe Mode.

Pipas is evidently one of those little charmers, which hides in the registry and re-loads itself when you think you've deleted it all, BTW.

Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Download HijackThis---http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis.

Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. You will then get a screen that will tell you if you have any nasty stuff in your computer. Follow instructions to deal with any nasties. CAUTION: This is a very powerful tool. Be careful

Get Ad-Aware and SpyBot from download.com, install both and run them, Ad-Aware first, doing a full system scan. Between the two of them, you should find not only this trojan, but other spyware you aren't even aware of. Thereafter, run an Ad-Aware Smart Scan every day if you are on the internet a lot.
