There are a cpl programs I use... Ad-Aware SE personal, and Spybot. There both free programs and hey work great

Spybot and AVG free internet security are the best options to remove spyware. Try AVG it works. I am student of BCA and so have to bring in data from computer lab. There are a hell lot of viruses in there. So I have to be very quick and alert in virus adn spyware cases. The above combination has worked the best for me.

You need 2 programs to remove it and 1 to prevent it from entering again.

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

A lot of people will recomend Norton, though it's very good I'd suggest you try PANDA Titanium 2007.
You can download it free for a month trial, its great and it solved all the problems I had!!!

go to the site spywareterminator.com install it and update 1st.. now go to safe mode [reboot keep pressing f8] and then scan with it.. if its spyware u will get rid of it..
if virus u need to get antivir from free-av.com
